THE VISION OF PREVENTION MILWAUKEE
PREVENTION MILWAUKEE was established by the Community Advocates Public Policy Institute in 2012 to highlight prevention activities that are an integral part of the Institute. It is also an opportunity to explore issues related to their work and the work of their partners on a deeper and more engaged level. On this blog you will find submissions from our prevention staff, representing Milwaukee Brighter Futures Initiative, the City of Milwaukee Tobacco-Free Alliance, and Milwaukee County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition.
THE HISTORY OF THE PUBLIC POLICY INSTITUTE
Community Advocates established the Public Policy Institute in 2008 to explain why so many Milwaukeeans are poor, and to develop and implement practical public policies to reduce poverty throughout Wisconsin. As Wisconsin’s largest advocacy agency and serving thousands of low-income citizens each year, Community Advocates is uniquely positioned to understand the needs and solutions to this persistent problem.
